Goodness knows where this is all going to end!

I was never a big fan of the Euro - I always thought it was politically driven rather than making good economic sense. How can so many different economies adopt a single interest rate?

During the ongoing financial crisis, the UK has been able to print money which has helped the situation up to a point, but other Euro countries have not been able to do this.

Probably, Greece needs to drop out of the Euro so it can re-value it's currency and set its own interest rate. But then what can be done with Italy? Do German tax payers really have the stomach to bail out the third biggest economy in Europe?

I don't know.

Bob It is bad enough going abroad with all the Germans acting like they own the place. Now, they actually will.

It will be interesting to see if German businesses will actually remain loyal or whether they will go off shore just to escape the inevitable taxes that are going to be incurred.
