I got an invite but I can't make it that weekend as I am doing cub camp for three days during the week and then heading off for a couple of days with Kim to recover (and keep her sweet for when the kayaking season starts and I'll need some purple passes over the winter). Anyoneelse planning 40th celebrations this year? |

Bob - do you mean Tungsten Red passes? Not sure if I'm going to have a 40th celebration. I'm thinking I won't (other than a night out with the family and perhaps a friday / saturday night Purley Arms drinks and curry). |

Oh! Really? At one point in my life, I was planning a very big 40th party - I thought I would invite everyone that I had ever known (basically anyone mentioned in my diary). To be honest, at this point I'm not sure what I'm going to do. I need to think some more... |

Maybe highlight is too strong a word, but I was looking forward to a big get-together some time. BTW - I have PWEI's "Not Now James" polluting the lab right now. My poor team. |

Another one of my recent plans was to take the BMW M5 down to the Nürburgring. Unfortunately, I don't have the M5 now and I don't think I'm going to have enough money to buy a new M BMW (or go to Germany), so that's probably out of the question. I have considered one of these for a laugh: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/BMW_M_Coupe. You can pick up a first generation E36/8 (1998 - 2002) for under 10 grand, but even for my 40th, I think Maria might insist we sort out the house central heating first! They're that cheap, because most people think they just look odd. Originally Posted By: Doc J BTW - I have PWEI's "Not Now James" polluting the lab right now. My poor team. |
