Backstage at Cardiacs

Chiddy and Pud go backstage at a Cardiacs concert in Manchester. The band were brilliant, but that's what you come to expect from bona fide representatives of The Alphabet Business Concern, is it not? As such, they were all worthy of several laudations.

Pud I used to walk around Manchester dressed like that - Corduroy jacket with curtain pull attached to one shoulder, Cardiacs t-shirt, DMs. I've still got the jacket - maybe I'll wear it out on Friday!

Bob Oh please do. Laugh

I certainly wont be wearing my Stuffies "Never Loved Elvis" tour t-shirt on Friday though I do still own it. In fact, I still own all my concert t-shirts. In fact it was only the last gig I went where I didn't buy a concert T-shirt.

Just remembered that I didn't buy a t-shirt at Level 42 or UB40.

Bob Liking some of the photos from the Cardiacs concert. Just a shame Elliot dropped out of the photography course he was doing before they taught him how to compose a photo.

Unless he was more interested in the sound equipment being used instead of snapping you with your idols. Laugh

Pud It's a shame, but I threw most of my band t-shirts out years ago. I wish I'd kept them now, even if they were faded.

I'd love to wear the jacket, just for the fun of it, but I really don't think that capital of culture, Purley, is ready for it.

Do you think Never Loved Elvis was Wonder Stuff's best album? It's the only Wonder Stuff album I own, but I prefer Hup. Can't even remember what The Eight Legged Groove Machine sounds like! In need to checkout a few of the their old songs on YouTube.

The songs I preferred off Never Loved Elvis were never released as singles. Mission Drive and Here Comes Everyone were certainly the stand out tracks off that album for me

I have got quite a bit of Stuffies music which you are more than welcome to have a copy of. Bring a memory stick on Friday night and I will pop my whole Wonderstuff collection on there for you.

The Eight Legged Groove Machine had classics like Unbearable, A Wish Away and Red Berry Joy Town on it.

HUP was my first Stuufies album but I was always disappointed that Circle Square wasn't on it even though it came out the same time as the album.
