Pud David Owen has just said that it is Gordon Brown's duty to deliver strong, stable government and not a weak government made up of many small factions. The CBI has also made a similar assertion. These views seem to indicate a feeling amongst some that Gordon Brown should resign and allow a coallition lead by the Tories (and including the Lib Dems) to take power. Let's see what Cameron says at 1430.

Pud 1345: Gordon Brown says Nick Clegg should be free to take as long as necessary to talk to Cameron over forming a coalition government. If those talks fail, Labour will offer instant legislation to change the voting system in return for Liberal Democrat support.

Bob Gordon Brown must be quite desperate to be offering that cookie. Proportional representation will basically mean a lot more hung parliaments in the future. It will also mean that Nick Griffin will probably get voted in the next election as well.

Pud Agreed. Not sure if Gordon Brown has actually promised proportional representation or not. And I believe that David Cameron has just said that he will offer Nick Clegg a cross party committee to discuss electoral reform. I guess there are varying levels of PR that could be implemented between "1st past the post" and "full on PR".

Tin Gordon Brown is desperate to cling to power and is willing to whore himself in any way to stay on.
