I thought Cameron did well (having learnt much from Clegg's performance last week)

Brown, on the other hand looked like he was chewing throughout the debate - very distracting - or maybe he was just trying to summon up a smile !

Pud Yes, agreed, Doc J. Cameron did much better last night. On average, the polls seem to have both Clegg and Cameron in joint first place, but personally I think Cameron won the debate.

Will it be enough though ?

Cameron is pretty much hammering Brown (at long last), but Clegg has thrown a real spanner in the works. I really can't see anything other than an unsatisfactory Lib Lab alliance. The UK voting system gives Labour soch a massive advantage - they can technically come third and still take the most seats - and there are still some pretty staunch labour heartlands out there*

Agreed, Doc J. Which makes it all the more important that EVERYONE gets out and votes Tory to stop the rot. Otherwise, we will be stuck with a Lib Lab pact and this country is going to go down the pan.

We could save a lot of money and pay back some of the huge defecit that Labour has saddled us with, by reducing benefits that are paid out to people who can't be bothered to get off their feet and work and who continue to have endless children just to increase the benefits they receive!

Did you see that couple in the press a few weeks back ? Neither work, and still they pick up £42,000 a year in benefit payments plus a 4 bed house and all because she's popped out 8 kids. They should be taken into care and she should be forcibly sterilised.

Pud Yes, I did hear about that couple. Despicable is the only word I can think of.

Bob Heaven forbid any of them should have a disability as that pays even more money and they may even qualify for a motability car as well. Rolleyes
